Air Quality and Noise modelling for EIA’s Training to be held in Dubai 5^th - 7^th October 2015!

The scope of this three-days training is to learn how to apply air quality and noise modelling effectively in everyday EIA projects.

Noise modelling part includes professional prediction methods, tips and tricks for the prediction of road traffic and industrial noise sources.

AQ modelling part includes detailed dispersion methods which calculate the wind field and are capable of predicting turbulences around buildings in street canyons.

You will be amazed to realise the combined advantages and the time/cost saving of applying one professional system for both assessments.

The training will be held 5^th–7^th October 2015 in Dubai, UAE.

Day 1: Air Quality and Noise basics, standards and AQ dispersion modelling

Day 2:VIBROCOMP methodology to prepare AQ dispersion models and contour maps - incl. practical exercise with VIBROCOMP computers in groups of maximum 2 participants

The Dubai Noise Survey

Environment Department at Dubai Municipality in cooperation with M/s. Vibrocomp ME started the project Noise Study in the Emirate of Dubai which is considered as one of the strategic projects in the Emirate. 
The project includes a detailed study of the noise generated from airports, metro and road traffic, industries, construction and other noise sources. The scope of the project is besides noise mapping the Emirate, to conduct a survey to find out more about the individual perception of Dubai residents on noise.

The survey takes only 10 minutes to answer.

Vibrocomp Training for RTA, Dubai

Roads and Transport Authority is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads & traffic in the Emirate of Dubai, and between Dubai and other Emirates of the UAE, neighbouring countries in order to provide an effective & an integrated transport system capable of achieving Dubai's vision & serving the vital interests of the Emirate.

Vibrocomp has been requested by RTA to provide a 4 days in-house Professional Training on Noise Mapping for Public Transport infrastructures. The participants - in total 16 from 8 different departments - are trained on Basic Acoustics, Advanced Noise Measurements, Noise Mapping and Action PLANNING with the use of Class I Sound Level Meters and SoundPLAN, the market leader noise mapping software. The training is very practical oriented and Vibrocomp experts make it easy to understand for the participants how public transport developments can benefit from noise mapping and action planning.

This training will contribute significantly to RTA’s Mission: Develop integrated and sustainable transportation systems and provide distinguished services to all stakeholders to support Dubai's comprehensive growth plans through preparing policies and legislation, adapting technologies and innovative approaches and implementing world-class practices and standards.

Second Professional Noise Mapping Training – Detailed program

Driven by the success of the First Noise Mapping training held in Dubai in October 2014 and the supreme feedback received (Dubai Municipality rated our trainers with a remarkable average score of 4.7 out of 5) Vibrocomp Middle East proudly announces the Second Professional SoundPLAN Noise Mapping Training in the Gulf to be held

March 30^th - April 1^st, 2015 Dubai- JBR, UAE

The educational objective of this training is to teach with outstanding material, technological knowledge and up to date professional tools on how to do noise mapping with SoundPLAN 7.3 as a professional.

Based on the technical and natural science professional knowledge the following knowledge can be obtained:

• Intermediate acoustical knowledge needed to model and calculate industrial and road noise propagation
• Intermediate knowledge in noise measurements
• Intermediate knowledge in the EU and US standards, regulations and guidelines on Noise
• Professional knowledge of SoundPLAN 7.3 Noise mapping software!
• Professional knowledge in preparing Noise maps (from the base map to the 3D animated noise map), by theory and by preparing noise maps in selected pilot areas
• Practical work experience

Advanced trainings will follow up on this event and include detailed overviews of EU and US standards, legislations, detailed noise assessment of different noise scenarios, as well as case studies for professional ActionPLANNING!

April 14-15 Two-day advanced level training on Industrial Noise in Environmental Impact Assessments (industry indoor and outdoor noise as well as cost-effective reduction action planning using the industry expert tool)

May 05-06 Two-day advanced level Community Noise (Road, tram, metro and other public transport noise sources) reduction action planning

June 02-03 Two-day Construction Noise modelling, mitigation and law enforcement (international best practices and case studies)
