One software for many areas of application

SoundPLANnoise includes everything from modeling and calculation, to tabular and graphic documentation in various levels of detail to produce informative plans for road and rail noise, commercial and leisure noise, aircraft noise, and ‘Hallin’ (sound propagation indoors).

User-friendly analysis and optimization tools

In addition, SoundPLANnoise offers extensive tools - first and foremost among them is the integrated spreadsheet optimized for your problems. The size of the computing cluster does not matter. Whether you are using five or five hundred computers: You only need one license for this.

 

The current version 8.2 of SoundPLANnoise is available with many new features:

  • For a directivity pattern assigned to a line source, there is a new option "Directivity follows the line source". Thus, e.g. race tracks can be modeled very easily as it is no longer necessary to split sources into multiple parts where the direction changes .
  • For interior calculations, a variant concept is now available to define, calculate and compare different room acoustic plans in a simple and user-friendly way.
  • All surfaces and sources in an industrial hall/room can now be displayed color-coded both in the editor in the GeoDB and in the plan display in the graphic. This allows a quick graphical control of the assigned absorption, sound insulation or emission spectra.
  • Objects in an industrial hall/room can now be combined into groups if desired. This allows the user to structure them very simply and clearly.
  • The BA Outside module has been completely revised. In addition, the current versions of the guidelines DIN 4109:2016/2018 and DIN EN ISO 12354-3:2017, including flanking transmission, have now also been implemented.
  • For the propagation calculation, some new international guidelines have been implemented and, as always, are available to you free of charge in the regular updates.
  • New tabular wall/wall documentation gives among other things an overview of the wall view area and the calculated wall volume or/and as a sum for each individual noise protection structure.
  • The interface to d&b audiotechnik's ArrayCalc has been updated to version 10.10.1. Thus, loudspeakers of the A and SL series can also be modeled now.

SoundPLANessential 

SoundPLAN Essential is the single document application for environmental noise planning of roads, railways and industrial facilities. Create noise contour maps in cities and open environment from basic 3D geometry and some traffic information or sound power data. It was conceived with the occasional user in mind who may not have in-depth knowledge of acoustics and want results in the smallest amount of time with the maximum amount of professionalism. It is a compact version of SoundPLAN, based on its calculation core and having its power, fast data processing and striking graphics. It is so easy to use, even engineers without special training for noise control will have no trouble using it. And, as it includes SoundPLAN´s noise contour map capabilities, presentations are easy to create and easy to understand. SoundPLAN essential allows standard cases to be processed quickly, efficiently and inexpensively.

SoundPLANessential 5.1

...with adaptation to EN ISO 12354-3:2017 (BA Outside)...

SoundPLANessential 5.1 is an update which is free of charge for SoundPLANessential 5.0 customers. The reason for this update is on the one hand the compatibility with current NoizCalc projects (d&b audiotechnik) and on the other hand the adaption of BA Outside to the new versions of the standard EN ISO 12354-3:2017. Moreover, we implemented smaller customer wishes.

SoundPLANessential 5.0 already included new features and improvements:

The previous interface to Google Earth was replaced by a convenient map interface. This allows you to easily transfer background maps from Google Maps as well as from OpenStreetMap into SoundPLANessential. In addition, the elevation data provided by Google Maps can be imported and used as a basis for your terrain model. For data import you can use a new, additional interface to OpenStreetMap. This allows you to import your data model almost anywhere in the world with little effort. For industrial noise, a convenient level calculator has been implemented, with which operating times and the emission of moving sound sources can be taken into account very easily.

The available dispersion calculation methods were supplemented by CNOSSOS-EU (road, rail and industrial noise), including the German and Austrian adaptations.
