Noise maps and noise reduction action plans for cities

VIBROCOMP presents the noise load of your whole city with a unique technology on coloured maps, where each colour shows the relevant noise level. Noise maps present the noise level from road traffic, rail/tram traffic, industrial and aircraft noise sources. The noise maps will show in dark red colour where noise reduction is necessary. The green colour shows the current silent zones. The silent zones should be kept silent while the zones where noise pollution had been identified should be reduced. Noise mitigation measures and noise reduction achievements are shown in noise reduction action plans

Typical problems you as stakeholder of a city or as urban planner might face:

  • Where are the noisiest parts of my city?
  • What is the most disturbing noise source in my city?
  • How many people in my city are affected by high noise levels?
  • What can we do to reduce the noise?
  • Which is the most-cost effective noise reduction measure for my city?
  • How can we make the public understand the noise reduction plans?
  • Where are the quiet areas?
  • What can we do to preserve those areas as quiet?
  • How can I get a precise three-dimensional building, traffic (road, rail/tram, aircraft) and industrial database of my city that I can base my future development decisions on?

The noise maps give you all the answers you need to raise the quality of life in your city!

VIBROCOMP conducts noise mapping on national as well as on international levels. Noise mapping is carried out for small communities, towns, city regions and entire federal states and we frequently present the results to the public to comply with the legal regulation regarding public information dissemination.

Noise reduction action planning

In cooperation with the cities and communities in charge, VIBROCOMP sets up cost effective noise reduction action plans based on the results of the noise mapping. We offer complete noise action plans as well as individual noise action plan elements such as impact analyses, assessment of measures or public participation as well as consulting services. In addition, we create noise action planning manuals, facilitate events and work on national and international committees and conduct research projects.

Vibrocomp always tailors the unique ActionPLAN according to your city’s needs!!
